Bards Clothing just got a Face Lift
Two months ago, my friend Virginia, who runs the Rising Tide Hartford Chapter, called me the night before a meeting and asked if I could host the coworking meetup. I had a million things on my plate, but something in me said “yes.”
The group was small, but one of those small-but-mighty moments. Among the attendees was Evelyn Alejandro, the creative force behind Agape Design. Her energy and zeal were magnetic. But before I go further, let me rewind.
Five years ago, when I first launched Bards, I knew I needed a website. Armed with nothing more than dusty Myspace “coding” memories, I pulled together a site on Squarespace. I wrote the copy, finessed the layout, and hoped for the best. To my surprise, people loved it. It was clean, simple, and it worked. But like a pair of kids’ shoes, I eventually outgrew it.
That’s where Evelyn enters. She took my vision and elevated it, weaving together a site that truly reflects Bards Clothing today: the diversity of my clients, the stories behind every garment, the spirit of American craft stitched through every page.
And today, I’m proud to unveil our brand-new website.
This isn’t just a digital facelift. It’s a platform that better tells the stories of those who choose to wear their truth with us. It’s a reflection of where we’ve been and where we’re headed.
I’m deeply grateful to Evelyn for pouring her heart into this project. With her help, Bards can continue to grow, reviving American craft, celebrating individuality, and building garments that honor both heritage and story. Work with her by clicking the link below!
